Education & Experience

I graduated from the TCC Visual Arts Center in 2009 with an associate’s degree in multimedia. Before graduating, I started working freelance for a local company based in Virginia Beach called Truck Mount Forums. I’ve been using Photoshop and Illustrator since high school.

I also worked as a wallpaper hanger and painter for my mom’s company since I was about 16. This experience has taught me teamwork, a strong work ethic, and communicating with customers.

Knowledge

I use Photoshop and Illustrator on a daily basis and occasionally use DreamWeaver. I have some minor experience using Indesign, Premier, AfterEffects, and Flash. I am proficient Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Background

I was born in Tonawanda, NY and raised in Chesapeake, VA. I married Billy, my best friend, on December 26, 2006. We currently reside in Norfolk, VA with our two pit bull mixes, Baron and Beasley.

I am an artist and a writer. I have been since I was a little kid. Some of my artistic peers gave up their dream along the way, opting for the much easier path. But I always knew that I had to do something I love. Paint, write, act, it didn’t matter. I love all things “art”. In 2007, my husband built an art studio for me for an anniversary present. I’ve done several paintings with acrylic and oil pastel, including some portraits. My studio is also where I sew and craft. (I also knit but don’t tell anyone).
